Fees
Insight OT Consultancy operates as a consultancy-led service.
Work is structured around thoughtful assessment, careful clinical interpretation and clear guidance for families and professionals.
Fees are aligned with current NDIS Pricing Arrangements where applicable. Rather than offering fixed packages, professional time is allocated according to the scope of each referral and the level of analysis required.
Time is directed across consultation, assessment, clinical reasoning, documentation and communication to ensure that recommendations are meaningful, clearly explained and practically useful for those supporting the child.
Clear estimates of professional time are provided before any work begins so families and professionals understand the expected scope.
Scope of work.
Insight services focus on developmental assessment, clinical interpretation and structured guidance rather than ongoing therapy.
Most referrals involve a combination of consultation, assessment, analysis and reporting. The time required varies depending on the complexity of the child’s presentation and the level of information needed to develop a clear clinical picture.
As a general guide:
Comprehensive developmental assessments typically involve approximately 8–9 hours of professional time. These assessments explore learning, regulation, participation and functional development, integrating background information, contextual understanding and detailed clinical analysis.
Functional and contextual assessments typically involve approximately 6–8 hours of professional time. These assessments focus on how a child is participating across everyday environments such as home, school and community contexts. They are often used to support NDIS access, review processes or clarification of functional capacity.
Individual parent consultation sessions are also available for families seeking developmental insight, interpretation and practical guidance. These sessions focus on understanding patterns, challenges and next steps rather than ongoing intervention.
Professional consultation and collaboration is also offered for educators, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams seeking independent clinical perspective. This may include case consultation, collaborative planning discussions, developmental formulation or report interpretation.
Where assessments are undertaken, a structured written report is provided outlining the clinical reasoning, developmental interpretation and practical recommendations arising from the work.
Additional Work.
Occasionally additional work may be requested outside the original scope of an assessment or consultation.
This may include extended liaison with schools or clinicians, supplementary documentation or additional reporting.
Where this occurs, the time required is discussed in advance and billed at the applicable hourly rate.
NDIS Participants.
Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcomed.
Agency-managed participants are not currently supported under this model of care.
Consultancy & Collaboration.
Insight also works with early learning services, schools and organisations seeking developmental consultation, environmental planning input, professional learning or project collaboration.
Because consultancy work varies significantly depending on the scope of the project, fees for organisational consultation are discussed individually.
Organisations are welcome to make contact to discuss their needs.
Getting Started.
If you are unsure which type of support may be most appropriate, guidance is provided during the initial enquiry process.
The aim is always to ensure a clear, supportive and well-matched starting point for families and professionals seeking deeper understanding.
Payment and Cancellations
Insight operates with a consultation-led model, where time is intentionally allocated for careful assessment, clinical interpretation and thoughtful guidance.
Clear processes around time and payment help ensure each family receives dedicated attention and a structured, well-supported experience.
Payment.
Parent consultation sessions are confirmed with payment at the time of booking.
This secures the allocated time and supports a calm and structured scheduling process.
For developmental assessments and extended consultancy engagements, payment is requested once the work has been completed and prior to the release of the written report. This approach allows families to engage fully in the assessment process while recognising the significant time dedicated to clinical analysis, interpretation and reporting.
Rescheduling & Cancellations.
Parent consultation sessions can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice are typically non-refundable, as the time has been reserved specifically for your family.
When unexpected circumstances arise, Insight approaches these situations with care, fairness and transparency wherever possible.
A Considered Process.
Insight is grounded in clarity, integrity and thoughtful care.
Fees reflect the time, expertise and careful consideration given to each engagement, and the commitment to providing families with meaningful understanding and clear direction.
