Insight OT Consultancy is an occupational therapy–informed consultancy specialising in developmental assessment, clinical interpretation and practical guidance for children, families and the professionals supporting them who are seeking clarity, understanding and structured direction.

Services are designed to offer depth without overwhelm, with a strong emphasis on thoughtful assessment, meaningful interpretation and practical guidance.

This is not a high-volume therapy clinic. Insight was established to offer something different — thoughtful, in-depth assessment and clear clinical direction for families and professionals seeking understanding, not simply intervention.

 

Insight operates as a consultancy-led, assessment-focused service. Ongoing therapy is not provided. This model supports independence, objectivity and depth, ensuring recommendations are guided by what best serves the child rather than by service structures or ongoing treatment models.

The goal is clarity — understanding what is happening, identifying what matters most, and supporting confident, informed next steps for families and those supporting them.

​Comprehensive Developmental Assessments.

In-depth assessments explore a child’s functional abilities across daily living, regulation, play, learning and participation.

 

Each assessment is tailored to the individual child and their environment, considering strengths, challenges and the broader systems surrounding them.

These assessments are designed to bring clarity to complex or unclear developmental presentations. Insight takes a whole-child approach, integrating developmental history, functional impact and contextual understanding.

 

Each assessment is supported by a structured report providing clear explanations, carefully considered clinical reasoning and practical recommendations to guide next steps for families and professionals.

Functional & Contextual Assessments.

Functional assessments explore how a child is managing across everyday environments, including home, school and community life.

 

The focus is on real-world participation and meaningful engagement in daily activities.

 

Where required, structured NDIS functional assessments and reports are provided for self-managed and plan-managed participants, with a strong emphasis on clarity, usability and alignment with funding requirements.

Parent Consultation & Education.

Individual consultation sessions support parents in developing a deeper understanding of their child.
